Retrofit and migration

Bring selected existing equipment into EMIKO

Extend the value of infrastructure already in service. Vikingegaarden can assess selected pedestals, gates and lighting systems for connection to the EMIKO Partner Platform.

Upgrade the function, not necessarily the complete installation

Replacing an entire quay or distribution area is not always necessary. Where the existing unit is compatible, an EMIKO retrofit can add digital authorisation, remote control, metering, monitoring and settlement functions.

YOUR QUAY, TODAY ALREADY WIRED IN PLACE ON SITE OUR WORKSHOP KIT FITTED INSIDE BY US, NOT ON SITE BACK IN PLACE SAME UNIT REMOTE CONTROL SHIPPED TO US SHIPPED BACK RETURNS TO THE SAME BASE AND THE SAME SUPPLY REMOTE CONTROL, METERING, SETTLEMENT, MONITORING BEHAVES LIKE A UNIT WE BUILT NEW

Every unit is assessed before a conversion route is confirmed.

Existing service pedestals

For qualifying pedestals, Vikingegaarden installs the appropriate Marinella NEO Installation Kit in its workshop. The converted unit can then return to its existing installation with its original form and service configuration retained, subject to the approved conversion scope.

Assessment

Identify the pedestal, controller, electrical configuration and current use.

Conversion

Vikingegaarden completes the approved installation work and tests the connected functions.

Reinstallation

The converted unit returns for installation and appears in EMIKO alongside other connected equipment.

Gates and lighting

Selected existing systems may also be connected through dedicated solutions.

GateKeeper adds app-based access and activity records to compatible gates and barriers. OnSiteLight adds connected lighting control, supported scheduling and per-user energy recording where the installation allows it.

One platform after conversion

Converted equipment does not require a separate retrofit interface. It appears in the same EMIKO environment used for new connected equipment.

  • One equipment overview
  • The same access and permission model
  • Consistent activity records
  • Metered usage linked to the relevant order
  • Shared reporting and integration options

Compatibility must be confirmed

A controller label alone does not guarantee compatibility. The equipment model, software, communication route, electrical configuration and installation condition must all be reviewed.

Information required for an initial assessment

Do not plan conversion work until Vikingegaarden has confirmed the product route and scope.

  • Equipment manufacturer and model
  • Controller model and label
  • Clear photographs of the unit and internal configuration
  • Existing sockets, services and electrical rating
  • Current communication method
  • Location and operating use
  • Available technical documentation

Ask us to assess a unit

Send the equipment details and we will confirm whether a conversion route exists and what the work involves.
